Karate is for everyoneOn October 5, 2025, the Niji Yama G-Warriors, in collaboration with the Para-Budo Federation, organized an alternative karate competition that was all about inclusion, cooperation, and fun. This initiative came about after the unexpected cancellation of a planned competition. Instead of letting this opportunity go to waste, they quickly switched gears and developed a new, creative concept — resulting in a very successful day.The competition format deliberately deviated from the classic formats. There were no traditional pools; everyone competed against everyone else. Parents and para-karatekas also got involved as referees, which created extra engagement and mutual respect. During the kumite part, the dads actively helped by holding the large shields. This approach broke with the traditional division of roles and strengthened the sense of community within and around the tatami. The atmosphere was positive and supportive throughout the day. The participants clearly enjoyed themselves, encouraging, learning, and experiencing together. Thanks to all the staff, referees, comfort referees, moms, and dads who made this day possible. This competition once again confirmed what we stand for as an organization: karate is more than just a sport—karate is for everyone.

The 1st European Para-Budo Championship was undoubtedly an unprecedented success and will long remain in the memories of everyone who had the privilege of experiencing this special day. What began as a sporting competition grew into an inspiring event full of emotion, solidarity, and exceptional performances. The entire day was marked by wonderful sporting moments and impressive karate performances. Our para-karatekas showed where real strength comes from: perseverance, discipline, and an unwavering passion for the budo sport. Every match, every kata, and every moment on the mat radiated courage, character, and pride. Time and again, the audience was moved by the intensity and beauty of what was achieved here.In addition, we can rightly speak of an organization that functioned like a well-oiled machine. With their expertise, professionalism, and respectful approach, the top referees ensured that the competitions ran fairly and smoothly. Their efforts were invaluable and gave the participants the confidence to show the best of themselves. An equally big round of applause is in order for the fantastic staff and volunteers, who put their heart and soul into their work selflessly. Behind the scenes and on the floor: their enthusiasm, commitment, and warm smiles were palpable everywhere. Without them, this day simply would not have been possible. Our indispensable sponsors also deserve special thanks. Thanks to their trust and support, we were able to raise this championship to a high level and create an environment in which para-athletes could truly shine. Their contribution is an investment in inclusion, sport, and humanity. The strong and close-knit team of the Para-Budo Federation showed what cooperation and vision can lead to. With professionalism, passion, and a shared mission, they brought this event to life. But what really made this day unique was the abundance of warm friendship, mutual respect, and a relaxed atmosphere—completely free of stress, but rich in connection. Finally, we are immensely proud to present our heroes of the competition: each and every one of them talented karatekas, inspiring athletes, and above all, wonderful people with hearts of gold. You have made history and shown what Para-Budo really stands for.Everyone who contributed to this should be incredibly proud of themselves.
